The building adjacent to the Kilbirnie Hotel, is undergoing construction works from March 2023 to August 2024. Although the project is being managed in compliance with Newquay and Cornwall bye-laws, some noise is inevitable between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00.

    How To Find Us

    Road

    Travelling by road to The Kilbirnie in Newquay is straightforward. Travel down the M5 to the end of the motorway at Junction 31, and choose the A30 or the more southerly A38 (which has some single carriageway sections and traverses the Tamar Bridge at Plymouth). Both routes rejoin at the Bodmin by-pass. From the outskirts of Town follow the signs to Watergate Bay / Porth passing through Quintrell Downs and over the Railway Tracks. Follow this road and signs to Newquay Town Centre to Narrowcliff Road where you will find The Kilbirnie Hotel.

    Train

    Travelling by train is one of the most relaxing ways to start your holiday journey to Cornwall. The nearest train station to the hotel is Newquay (approx 10 mins walk away). To get to Newquay you have to change at Par and get the train to Newquay from there.

    Great Western Railway run trains from most areas in the south of England & Wales, such as London, Brighton, Cardiff, Bristol & Oxford to name a few.

    CrossCountry run trains from England, Scotland & Wales. You can travel direct from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cambridge, Bristol, Cardiff, plus many more.

    Flying to and from Newquay is very easy with the nearby Cornwall Airport Newquay which is only 20 minutes drive away. Newquay is served by many locations around the UK and also many major destinations in Europe. Some of the main airlines that serve Newquay Airport are British Airways, Ryanair, Eastern Airways, Loganair, Aer Lingus, Blue Islands, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Eurowings.

    Please note that there is no full time taxi rank at Newquay Airport, and so pre-booking a taxi is essential.

    Car Parking

    We have 36 car parking spaces available on-site at the hotel, subject to availability. Chargeable at £8 per vehicle, per night, payment is required at the reception desk on arrival. Our car park operates on a first come, first served basis and is intended for hotel patrons only.  Due to the limited space, we cannot allow vehicles of transit van size or larger to park on hotel grounds.  In the event that there is no availability, please ask at Reception and one of our helpful staff will be able to offer suggestions for alternative parking facilities.
